YI-JEONG Industrial debuts forged aluminum 1350 tube yoke at SEMA 2026

Taiwan driveline maker also brings low-volume custom driveshafts and in-house testing to 30,000 N·m to Central Hall booth 20165.

TAICHUNG, Taiwan -- YI-JEONG Industrial Co., Ltd. (IJE) will introduce a forged 6061 aluminum 1350-series tube yoke at the SEMA Show, November 3 to 6 in Las Vegas. The Taichung propeller shaft and universal joint maker will also take custom driveshaft orders from builders at Central Hall booth 20165.

Most aluminum driveshafts on the market use tube yokes machined from billet. Forging the yoke instead makes it substantially stronger than a machined part. IJE's yoke fits aluminum tubes from 3.5 to 4.5 inches in diameter and is available to order now.

"Builders show up at SEMA with ideas that aren't in anyone's catalog," said Stephon Lin, General Manager of YI-JEONG Industrial. "We make the driveshaft that fits the build, and we test it before it ships."

That matters in the North American aftermarket, where builders stretch wheelbases, lift trucks and swap transmissions. Each change moves the driveshaft length and operating angles, so an off-the-shelf shaft often won't fit. IJE makes the shaft to the dimensions the vehicle actually has, in small batches. Its Taichung plant runs CNC lathes and mills, turn-mill centers, grinding, gear hobbing, broaching, wire EDM and automatic welding, so a one-off prototype goes through the same process as a production run.

IJE has been making driveline parts in Taiwan for more than 40 years. Taiwan is known for its chips, but it also has one of the deepest metalworking supply chains in the world. IJE works as a contract manufacturer and treats customer designs and patents as the customer's property.

Proof, not promises
IJE tests what it builds. Its torque testing system is rated to 30,000 N·m, which the company believes is the largest in Taiwan, and the lab also runs fatigue and durability tests and a Schenck dynamic balancer. Custom parts are 100% inspected on a CMM and vision measuring systems. Customers can validate a new design in Taichung instead of paying an outside lab, and back their own warranties with real test data.

Builders and distributors can see the forged yoke and discuss custom driveshafts at Central Hall booth 20165. Bring drawings, samples or vehicle specs. More information at www.autopart-supplier.com.
