NOVSIGHT Introduces ARMOUR Traction Board, Engineered for Extreme Cold and Off-Road Recovery

LAS VEGAS – NOVSIGHT will introduce ARMOUR, its first vehicle recovery board, at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Engineered for off-road recovery in extreme cold, ARMOUR combines a POE-toughened polypropylene compound, ultra-low water absorption and a one-piece molded structure designed to remain tough when temperatures drop.

Recovery boards often face their toughest conditions in winter, when conventional polymers can lose impact strength and moisture absorbed into the material can freeze and contribute to cracking. ARMOUR was developed around that failure point.

Its PP-WS0051-LTM high-impact polypropylene compound is toughened with POE elastomer to maintain ductility in sub-zero conditions, while absorbing just 0.05% water by weight under ASTM D570 testing.

ARMOUR has been tested for use at -40°F/-40°C following a 48-hour cold soak and loading test. For long-term outdoor exposure, its UV-stabilized compound achieved color fastness grade 4–5 after 750 hours of xenon-arc weathering in an Atlas Ci4000 chamber. The material is also compliant with RoHS, REACH and TSCA.

The board's traction surface features a staggered three-arm lug array with a half-pitch offset, designed to provide tire engagement across multiple directions while leaving space for snow and mud to clear between the lugs. Recessed ramp ribs at both ends provide initial tire bite, while full-length longitudinal ribs reinforce the deck under load.

Each ARMOUR board measures 40.2 × 12.4 × 2.4 inches (1020 × 314 × 62 mm) and weighs 6.61 lb (3.0 kg). Four molded handle slots and four corner tether eyelets support handling and retrieval during recovery. ARMOUR will be offered in Industrial Orange and Black.

ARMOUR has also been entered in the 2026 SEMA New Product Showcase in the Trucks, SUVs & Off-Road category. As NOVSIGHT's first vehicle recovery product, ARMOUR marks the brand's expansion beyond off-road lighting into recovery gear.

“We built our name on gear that has to perform when conditions are against you: at night, in the rain, on the trail. ARMOUR applies the same standard to recovery. We started with the failure that matters most, a board going brittle in the cold, and designed outward from there.” — Alex Wang, CEO, NOVSIGHT

ARMOUR will be on display during the 2026 SEMA Show, November 3–6, at NOVSIGHT Booth #58169 in the West Hall. Attendees and media are invited to visit the booth to see ARMOUR alongside NOVSIGHT's latest off-road lighting and overlanding products.
